Innovations In The Making
Mohenjo-Daro's inventions were the greatest of their time. Mohenjo-Daro's smallest unit of measurement was 0.06 inches, this was significant because at that time no other civilization could measure that small. The Harappan scientist, Aryabata created a decimal system. They may have also invented numerical symbols that evolved into one through nine and probably the number zero. These are important because these are inventions that we use every day. The Harappan scientist Aryabata also made a theory that the sun was the center of the universe and that the earth orbited the sun. One of the greatest advancements of all was the sewer systems and a way to transport water.
