The Layout
The planning of Mohenjo-Daro was advanced for an ancient civilization due to all the grid patterns they had. The Harappans had well thought grid pattern. The central are consisted of 12 mounds, each of which appears to have been a specific block of city laid out in a grid pattern similar to many modern American cities. All of this means that Mohenjo-Daro was the first planned city because no city had a grid pattern. This is important because this led to the efficient layout of world cities. This planned city had a lot of advanced inventions.
